This printer is capable of handling paper with a paperweight between 64 and 105 gsm, and all the up to 275 gsm for Canon photo paper. The compatible inks for this printer are the PG-545 black fine cartridge, the CL-546 colour fine cartridege, and its XL versions (PG-545XL and CL-546XL). You can print up to 180 pages with the satandard cartridges, up to 400 pages with the black XL cartridge and 300 with the colour XL cartridges.
