This type of office pen uses a water-based gel rather than regular ink to create its marks. This gel is not as thick as the paste-like ink used in a ballpoint pen, and at the same time it’s not as thin as the liquid used in regular rollerball pens. As a result, the writing experience when using a rollerball gel pen is an ideal combination of the two and is quite unique. As in a normal rollerball, ink is delivered via a rolling ball, but it dries more rapidly and is far less likely to smudge or blot, making it an ideal choice for signing off documents and taking quick notes. The rollerball gel pen is in short the perfect office all-rounder.
